Quoted on the Squarespace Blog
I was an online attendee of the inaugural Circle Day in 2022. Circle Day is an annual gathering of the most innovative creators and entrepreneurs who use Squarespace.
During the lead-up to Circle Day 2023, the Squarespace team asked if I would contribute to a blog post recapping the previous year’s event.
I had a great experience at Circle Day 2022, so the answer was an enthusiastic yes. Even as an online attendee, the quality of the content, positive vibes, and supportiveness of the Circle community blew me away.
I was in the early stages of reimagining and productizing my Squarespace design services during the summer of 2022. All of the sessions I attended were rich with insights and tips. Even a session topic you think you know inside and out can provide a-ha moments.
The sessions helped me consider and upgrade a great customer experience for our new productized services. It also reinforced my belief that delighting customers is a superior new business strategy. Workflows at Resonant Pixel Company still incorporate some of what I learned.
Here are my recommendations for online attendees:
Be active in the chat streams and networking sessions. It's a great way to connect through shared experiences. Smash the link to view attendee profiles and learn more about them, what they create, and who they are. There is so much talent and inspiration to find among your fellow attendees.
Reach out to people who inspire you or resonate with you and make a connection. I had a few calls in the days and weeks following Circle Day 2022. One person even invited me to be a guest on a YouTube show!
Take advantage of the speaker offers and downloads. These are talented and some of the most experienced community members. Their expertise extends way beyond the session topic. You can easily find resources to inspire or continue your Squarespace learning journey.
As the saying goes, “You get out of it what you put into it.”
I committed to attending Circle Day 2023 in person and reserved my spot as soon as the opportunity presented itself.
Contributing a couple of quotes to this Squarespace blog post was a unique pleasure.
